We are a leading top 150 ENR-ranked firm seeking a highly motivated Hydrographic Data Manager to apply quality control measures to ensure the integrity and precision of hydrographic data.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY WILL INCLUDE:
- Supervise the planning and execution of hydrographic surveys
- Communication with field personnel.
- Verify field data collection is being performed according to client’s scope of work.
- Ensure that hydrographic surveys and other water-based data are accurately collected, processed, stored, and analyzed for various applications, including environmental studies, navigation, construction, and scientific research.
- Oversee the processing of raw hydrographic data, including correcting for errors, converting data formats, and ensuring consistency across datasets.
- Apply quality control measures to ensure the integrity and precision of hydrographic data.
- Process and review multibeam, single beam, side scan, magnetometer, and sub bottom data.
- Analyze hydrographic data to generate reports, charts, and maps.
- Assist with Project Management.
- Supervise a team of hydrographic data processors and technicians.
- Provide guidance and training on data collection techniques, processing procedures, and software usage.
- Coordinate workflows, assign tasks, and ensure deadlines are met for various hydrographic projects.
- Use proper safety equipment and follow proper field safety procedures.
- Requires 10-15% travel
WHAT YOU NEED:
- Bachelor’s Degree (minimum) in Hydrography, Geomatics, Oceanography, or related field.
- 5+ years of professional hydrographic survey experience (a combination of field and office is preferred).
- Experience in managing and processing hydrographic or geospatial data.
- Proficiency in Hydrographic data processing software (preferably Hypack and SonarWiz).
- Outstanding writing and analytical skills.
- CAD experience is required (one or a combination of any of the following: Civil 3D, ArcGIS, MicroStation knowledge).
- Excellent leadership, project management, and communication skills.
- Ability to analyze complex data and produce clear, actionable reports.
- The ability to work alone but also effectively as part of a team is required.
- Strong problem-solving, functional, and technical skills.
- Requires excellent communication, and the ability to take and understand directives.
- The ability to complete work consistently, with moderate flexibility to accommodate varying project demands is required.
- A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, cleared background check and negative drug test result.
