The Global Ascend Ops team at Experian is seeking a strong engineering manager to lead their global scaling team. The Ascend Ops team is responsible for building and maintaining Experian's propreitery MLOps product Ascend Ops across global regions. Ascend Ops helps in a machine learning model's lifecycle management and provides highly scalable model serving capabilities for the Model in both real time and batch consumption patterns. As part of the role you will,

• Develop and evolve the technical vision and roadmap within the scope of your team,aligned with broader organization's MLOps goals.
• Continuous prioritization and team capacity planning to set realistic delivery goals so your team can deliver the right features on the right timeline.
• Set clear expectations with individual team members based on their level and role and aligned to broader organization’s goals and meet regularly to discuss performance and
  development and provide feedback and coaching.
• Participate in design and code reviews and provide con,nuous feedback to ensure all the platform components are cost-effective, resilient, maintainable, and observable.
• Global deployment of Ascend Ops Platform across all Experian regions and markets.
• Develop instrumentation to capture various metrics and events to provide holistic KPIs to measure the usage of Ascend Ops across global Experian regions.
• Develop processes and tools to provide effective and efficient developer and production support for the platform.
• Collaborate with geographically distributed cross-functional teams across multiple timezones.
• A willingness to “roll up your sleeves” and do whatever is necessary to ensure team and company success.

Qualifications

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering role, with proven expertise in designing scalable, reliable and efficient solutions
• 2+ years of experience in a tech lead role with proven track record of making complex design decisions and providing technical guidance to the team
• Adept at collaborating with cross-functional teams, communicating effectively, and aligning efforts to achieve common goals
• Experience with Python, and familiarity with backend development flow including server-side web frameworks like Flask, Django, FastAPI etc.
• Strong technical knowledge of core services like compute, storage, networking and security on any of the public cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, GCP, preferably AWS.
• Experience with CI/CD, DevOps & IaC practices and tools such as Terraform, Jenkins etc.
