Currently, we are seeking a Senior Data Engineer with a strong English level to join our team. Here are the challenges that our next warrior will face and the requirements we look for:

Position Title: Senior Data Engineer

Location: LATAM

What you will be doing:

• Develop & deploy DBT models based on existing Snowflake-native data processing logic.
• Add testing and full documentation in accordance with best practice.
• Monitor & optimize compute resource consumption.
• Clearly communicate issues, questions, roadblocks, or general updates regarding development progress.
• Follow established version control & CI/CD principles.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

To excel in this role, you should possess:

Main Skills:

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, with a focus on data migration and system maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of database  management systems, particularly SQL Server, Snowflake and DBT.
• Deep understanding of data warehousing concepts and techniques (SCD’s, materialization strategies, data lineage, etc.)
• Strong SQL & Python, experience with Github or similar.
• Proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queries and stored procedures.
• Experience with data validation, testing, and quality  assurance processes.
• Familiarity with data flow and ETL processes.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with technical teams.
• Ability to quickly learn necessary domain knowledge.
• Familiarity with enterprise-level data governance and access control.

Soft Skills:

• Strong leadership abilities with excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
• Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as within a collaborative team environment.
