Our solution helps warehouse owners attain 2-3X efficiency improvement over cart-picking operations, by empowering pickers to work collaboratively with our robots. All this is accomplished while integrating with the operator’s Warehouse Management System, utilizing and optimizing existing facility infrastructure.
Locus Robotics is looking for a self-driven and engaged student to join Locus Robotics as a Hardware Test Engineering Intern in our Advanced Products Group (APG), based at our Nashua, NH facility.
This summer internship provides an exciting opportunity to work with our robotics engineering team, helping test and verify the performance and reliability of our robotic systems. You’ll assist in testing both hardware and electrical systems, contributing to real-world projects that drive the advancement of our technology.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the engineering team to understand system requirements.
- Review CAD designs to identify testable components.
- Develop and execute test plans for hardware and software systems.
- Conduct functional, integration, and performance testing.
- Identify, report, and assist in debugging system issues.
- Contribute to improving testing processes.
- Document test results and maintain a comprehensive testing repository.
- Present findings and research at the end of the internship.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a related degree program (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Engineering, Robotics, or Technology Trade).
- Previous systems testing or hardware internship experience.
- Previous project or internship experience using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
- Previous internship or academic project based experience with prototyping and hardware design.
- Knowledge of thermal, environmental, or mechanical testing.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Availability to work onsite Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week, at our Nashua, NH facility.
