Senior Frontend Software Engineer, Enterprise AI

TEAMThe Enterprise AI Team’s mission is to give Toyota a platform for AI growth. The team works to simplify training, inference, MLops and other aspects of AI development. This is used internally to build safety, convenience and autonomy for the Toyota vehicles.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FORAs part of the Enterprise AI team, you will work with feature engineers from machine learning, simulation, and vehicle software.
As a frontend engineer, you are passionate about creating excellent user experiences and assisting our customers in developing machine learning applications. You have experience working with early-stage teams and products, bringing them to production. You’re able to mentor junior engineers and contribute your coding skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with product manager and other engineers to develop the Enterprise AI core website
• Design user interfaces for new features to meet the needs of Enterprise AI customers
• Lead the development of the project from design and implementation
• Define standards and software best practices for frontend applications to produce maintainable code, including automated testing, continuous integration, code style, and code review
• Work with internal and external UX design teams
• Come to the office 3x/week following our hybrid work policy, and report to the software development director

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• At least 5 years of experience with web development
• At least 2 years of experience with Typescript, React, UI testing tools (ex. Cypress), APIs (usage and development)
• Experience with deployment infrastructure (AWS / GCP / Docker) and maintenance (ex. monitoring) of web applications
• Experience with source control (GitHub, GitLab) development tools, including Git, continuous integration, and code review

NICE TO HAVES:

• Experience working with interface design software like Figma
• Experience with full stack web development (ex. databases like PostgreSQL, MongoDB and/or Node development)
