Position: Power BI Developer
Location: Remote/ Alexandria, VA
Work Environment: Remote
Clearance Required: Secret

Knowesis is seeking a skilled Power BI Developer and MS DevOps Expert to join our team, supporting the Department of Defense (DoD) Office of Inspector General (OIG).

To be eligible for this position, candidates must have a Secret clearance and possess U.S. Citizenship without the need for sponsorship, both now and in the future. Applicants without proof of U.S. Citizenship will not be considered due to the position’s security clearance requirements.

The Job Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:  

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI reports and dashboards.
  
• Gather and analyze business requirements to create data models and visualizations.
  
• Perform data validation and ensure the accuracy and consistency of data.
  
• Optimize Power BI solutions for performance and troubleshoot issues.
  
• Stay updated with the latest Power BI features and best practices.
  
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using Microsoft DevOps tools.
  
• Automate deployment processes and ensure smooth software releases.
  
• Monitor and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Azure DevOps.
  
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate DevOps practices into the software development lifecycle.
  
• Ensure security and compliance in all DevOps processes.

Required Qualifications:  

• Proven experience as a Power BI Developer and DevOps Engineer.
  
• Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
  
• Proficiency in SQL, DAX, and Power Query.
  
• Experience with Microsoft DevOps tools (Azure DevOps, Git, etc.).
  
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  
• Effective communication skills to interact with stakeholders and team members.

Preferred Qualifications:  

• Experience with Data Engineering, Dashboard Design, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Automation and Scripting

Required Education: 

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
