About the Role


Join Swiss Re and its Global Finance Operations & Transformation (GFO&T) team as the Head of "Finance Master Data Management". Play a pivotal role in shaping the newly formed team consisting of staff members previously spread out over several organizational units. As part of our dynamic and motivated "Finance central data management" unit, you will manage a team of about ten master data experts, maintaining and enhancing Finance's data quality.
This position offers a unique opportunity to grow your career within a leading global reinsurer. Your key responsibilities include:

 

Master Data Management
•    Review and prioritise data change requests across Swiss Re's Finance system landscape
•    Co-ordinate implementations across Swiss Re's Finance system landscape that are triggered through changes in centrally-managed master data with an end-to-end impact.
•    Ensure that master data is ready in sufficient quality, ahead of a financial close cycle.
•    Communicate master data changes and manage expectations of affected stakeholders.
•    Ensure that ownership of specific Finance master data is clearly defined, regularly reviewed and updated
•    Manage access rights to Finance master data
•    Provide guidance to owners of decentrally managed attribute changes

 

Data Model related
•    Assess and process complex data change requests
•    Co-ordinate implementations of data model changes across Swiss Re's Finance system landscape


Other Responsibilities
•    Lead the Finance Master Data Management team

•    Promote a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
•    Engage in wider projects and initiatives when required. 

 

About the Team


Global Finance Operations & Transformation (GFO&T) is the unit responsible for the accounting and reporting of accurate and consistent financial information for global Swiss Re for external reporting and internal analysis facilitating strategic decision-making. This includes IFRS for Swiss Re Group as well as statutory financial information for all Swiss Re's legal entities. In addition, regulatory valuations SST and Solvency 2 are covered. GFO&T spearheads the transformation of Global finance, streamlining it towards a simpler, more effective forward-looking organization.

 

About You


You are a motivated, collaborative and entrepreneurially minded individual with a strong interest in master data management as well as a desire to solve complex data problems. You possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.


•    Minimum of 6-8 years of professional experience in re/-insurance or a related field 
•    A strong academic background, preferably in Business Administration, IT or Finance
•    Experience in leading teams

•    Superior analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to dissect complex problems and define actionable tasks to get to achieve durable, pragmatic solutions.
•    Minimum of 4 years of experience in master data definition and maintenance along the master data lifecycle
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience in condensing information.
•    High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
•    Ability to work independently and navigate in multi-faceted stakeholder settings

For Slovakia the base salary range for this position is between EUR 3,100 and EUR 5,100 per month (for a full-time role). 
 

The specific salary offered considers:
•    the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role,
•    the applicant’s own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialization, skills and experience.
In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for additional rewards and benefits including an attractive performance-based bonus.
