As part of the Financial Services Risk Management (FSRM) practice you will provide a well-integrated broad array of risk management services to capital market participants, such as, Banks, Pension Funds, Investment Companies and Insurance. FSRM products and services include all aspects related to Pillar one and Pillar Two Risks, Risk Analytics, Credit Analysis, Investment Analysis and Risk Reporting.
Your key responsibilities
As a FSRM Senior Consultant, you'll technically contribute to the delivery of FS Risk Management engagements. You will work effectively as a workstream leader having the responsibility, providing support, maintaining communication, and updating delivery team leaders on progress. You'll also contribute to building valuable relationships with external clients and internal peers.
To qualify for the role you must have the following:
- Demonstrates strong collaboration skills within cross-functional teams, with a proactive approach to mentoring junior team members, keeping senior management updated on daily tasks, and escalating project risks when necessary.
- Highly proficient in managing tasks efficiently under pressure to consistently meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and presentation abilities, client communication and collaboration.
- Provide technical support and insights to clients.
- Willingness to constantly contribute to knowledge sharing and trainings.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to build efficient reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to senior management and clients.
- Strong understanding of statistical techniques and their applications in risk management.
- Data manipulation techniques.
- 3–5 years of experience in analytics or risk management within the banking or financial services sector.
- Strong understanding of IFRS 9 guidelines, incorporating forward-looking macroeconomic variables and adjustments for risk stage migrations.
- Strong understanding of credit risk, rating and scoring techniques.
- Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Python, R, SAS).
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Economics, Computer Science or a related field (Engineering or physics backgrounds are accepted). A Master’s degree is a plus.
Skills and attributes for success:
- Conducting gap assessments against regulatory frameworks and industry standards (e.g., Central Bank regulations, IFRS, Basel).
- Supporting in the implementation of risk management solutions in alignment with regulatory expectations.
- Building, validating, and fine-tuning statistical and machine learning models.
- Developing and calibrating risk models to meet regulatory requirements.
- Analyzing small and large datasets to identify patterns, trends, and insights related to credit, market, and operational risk.
- Good IT understanding is a plus, such as data warehousing, ETL techniques, data hierarchy and business requirements (Bridging between IT and Business).
