About the Team

The Product & Technology Analytics team builds internal data analytics products to enable technical leaders and business executives in decision making. Our super power is in understanding business needs, then partnering to drive technical and strategic analytics that enable data intelligence. Our highly adaptive team consists of software engineers, data scientists, and business data analysts.

About the Role

We're looking for a Business Data Analyst who is passionate about transforming data into business insights. You will be responsible for understanding business needs, designing, and visualizing data analytics solutions that enable actionable insights. You will ensure high quality data sets and dashboards are maintained and supported.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand Resiliency business requirements, grow best practices, and provide data metrics and solutions that will directly influence Workday’s success. You will have a broad and direct exposure to the full Products & Technology organization at Workday by helping to ensure system and product resiliency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with key technical leaders and domain experts across Workday to understand data needs, particularly in the realm of system Resiliency

  • Collaborate with the team and internal business partners to strategize on best data practices and improve operational efficiencies

  • Understand complex technical processes by synthesizing large amounts of unstructured information into clear summaries

  • Interact with large Resiliency-related data sets to understand data nuances and their business meaning

  • Be the domain expert in system and product resiliency metrics

  • Create clear dashboards to illustrate business insights, using Tableau or other data visualization tooling

About You

You possess a deep interest in grasping the complex challenges that businesses face, and you are excited by solving problems. Learning new tools and technologies motivates you. You embody the qualities of an insightful, thoughtful, and reliable teammate - and you expect the same of your teammates - always helpful, always learning.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience as data analyst, business analyst, or technical consultant

  • 3+ years experience creating dashboards with data visualization tools like Tableau

Other Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience working with a variety of technical expertise, functions, and management levels

  • 5+ years interacting with large data sets to understand business insights

  • Operationally minded, highly meticulous, particular about data accuracy.

  • Ability to adapt communication based upon the background and technical capability of the audience.

  • Ability to operate autonomously and be resourceful in finding solutions.

  • Ability to handle interpersonal relationships efficiently, professionally, and empathetically.

  • Lifelong learner with a high-growth mindset.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including executive-level presence.

  • Understanding of program management standard processes.

  • Familiarity with customer service fundamentals.


Workday Pay Transparency Statement

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below.  Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Recruiters can share more detail during the hiring process. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things. Primary Location Base Pay Range: $107,200 USD - $160,800 USD


 

Additional US Location(s) Base Pay Range: $101,800 USD - $189,900 USD
