What a day is like:
Data Governance & Control:
o Develop and maintain critical control artifacts such as metadata dictionaries, process flows, and control points
o Assist in the creation of data models, ensuring accurate validation and reconciliation of data across systems
Quality Control:
o Ensure reports are accurate, complete, and run successfully.
o Troubleshoot and resolve any errors or discrepancies in reporting processes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to obtain requirements and secure approval for new reports and data solutions
• Lead the design and development of analytical solutions to address complex business challenges, ensuring actionable insights that drive strategic decisions.
• Extract and manipulate data from large, complex data sources, turning it into meaningful insights to guide business decisions
• Build and maintain monthly data artifacts that provide account performance datasets, delivering aggregated, decision-ready data for organizational use
• Identify opportunities to streamline, scale, and automate tools and processes, ensuring data insights are accessible and actionable for business users
• Work closely with business units to understand their information needs and deliver high-quality, actionable insights that support strategic and operational goals
• Conduct ad hoc data analyses from various sources to identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency gains
• Create and maintain thorough documentation for all reports, processes, and metadata to ensure transparency and consistency.
You’re perfect for this role if you have:
• Existing understanding of credit card operations and TSYS data is highly preferred
• Proficiency in data tools such as SQL, SAS, and Excel, with experience in transforming raw data into actionable insights
• Knowledge of statistical principles and data visualization techniques to effectively analyze and present data
• Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities for automation and streamline data processes for business users
• Exceptional ability to collaborate with business units and executives to deliver insights and obtain alignment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey technical insights and their business implications
• Curiosity, patience, adaptability, and critical thinking skills to solve complex data challenges in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in machine learning or familiarity with tools to develop models that enhance customer communication and financial outcomes
• High proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel.
