As the lead data architect, you know how to apply your creative-thinking and analytical mindset to help organizations manage their data assets. We’re looking for a data architecture lead like you to solve complex challenges and deliver leading-edge solutions for cyber clients within the national security sector.
As the lead data architect on our data team, you’ll use your extensive technical expertise to lead the design of data solutions to answer mission and technical requirements. You’ll resolve routine data architecture-related issues in collaboration with mission analysts and technology teams by performing root cause analysis, engaging with key stakeholders, and providing technical recommendations.
In this role, you’ll share your technical expertise, introduce best practices, and incorporate tools like NiFi, Elastic Stack, and Splunk, to meet mission data needs to include designing ETL processes, data models, and analytic applications. You’ll lead your team as it designs, defines, develops, and tests on-prem and cloud solution components, and you’ll serve as a liaison between clients, and developers to ensure that requirements are met and solutions are delivered.

You Have:
- Experience with NiFi, Elastic Stack, and Python
- Knowledge of data architecture, data engineering, data modeling, database design, and programming
- Ability to collaborate with key stakeholders, engage with clients, work independently, and mentor junior staff
- TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
- Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, programming, or systems engineering, or 10+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, programming, or systems engineering in lieu of a degree
Nice If You Have:
- Experience with the Big Data Platforms (BDPs), client discovery tools, and cyber security data sets
- Knowledge of cyber security and defensive or offensive cyber operations
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred; Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field a plus
- Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) certification
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $96,600.00 to $220,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
