We are a speech and language technology research group situated under CCDS, NTU. The group was established since 2007 and has since focused on machine learning and deep learning approaches in speech and language technologies. Our research interests include but not limited to Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR), Classification and Speech Understanding. The College of Computing & Data Science (CCDS) invites applications for the position of Senior Research Scientist.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the research and development of algorithms for speech recognition, diarization and speech enhancement.

• Plan and ensure timely delivery of project milestones and deliverables.

• To lead in the development of far-field speaker diarization and enhancement.

• To organize, document and transfer developed software package(s) to other team members and/or funding bodies.

Job Requirements:

• PhD in computer science/engineering or related fields.

• Strong expertise in speech technologies such as speaker diarization, speech enhancement, speaker overlapping detection, automatic speech recognition, and natural language processing and deep learning applications.

• Have experience in leading teams for speech research.

• Strong in the following programming languages and frameworks: Python, PyTorch.

• Experience in project management, delivery and customer support in the relevant research fields.
