General Summary:

The Senior Data Analyst is responsible for analyzing complex data, building reports, and communicating strategic insights based off their analyses. This role works in partnership with cross-functional teams to effectively analyze data and translate it into actionable and self-service reports to be utilized by the organization.

Interviewing for this role will require a live SQL assessment in one of the stages. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides support to cross-functional teams, with a high attention to detail  
  • Researches, analyzes, and documents findings  
  • May coach and review the work of other team members 
  • Builds, documents, analyzes, and communicates product metrics, Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s), and reports to various leaders throughout the organization 
  • Designs and builds various reports and reporting dashboards 
  • Ensures data is organized, captured, and designed to support business needs 
  • Ensures reports are fulfilling user requirements, efficiently designed, and easy to support and maintain 
  • Defines recommended changes to existing reporting environments in alignment with current business needs and direction 
  • Translates complex data into digestible reports for technical and non-technical audiences 
  • Analyzes reporting and analysis requirements, documents existing processes, and recommends solutions

  • Ability to manage projects and processes independently with limited supervision 
  • Advanced knowledge of applicable work area 
  • Ability to situationally adapt and understand new technology/processes as per business requirement 
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills 
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, Power BI, and other reporting design tools 
  • Strong ability to clearly communicate complex data and technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences 
  • Strong knowledge of relational databases and data processing concepts 
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple, complex projects and tasks in a fast-paced environment 
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written 
  • Knowledge of Microsoft applications, including Excel and Access 

Educational/Vocational/Previous Experience Recommendations:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent business experience 
  • 4+ years of relevant experience 
  • Preferred: Experience with Python, JSON, or XML 

Working Conditions:

  • Onsite/Hybrid/Remote depending on location 
  • Must be located in EST or CST
  • 0-10% travel may be required
