About the Role

SnapIT Solutions has a full-time opening for an experienced Data Software Engineer. We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Senior Data Engineer with proven expertise in React frontend development and a strong focus on delivering exceptional user experiences to work collaboratively with our federal government customer. The ideal candidate possesses excellent communication skills, the ability to build and maintain effective relationships, a deep understanding of user requirements, and a talent for driving impactful design initiatives across multiple levels.

This is a 100% onsite job with hybrid setup. Candidates must be located in the Kansas City Metropolitan area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with UX and graphic designers to deliver visually appealing, 508-compliant web solutions.
  • Partner with product owners and stakeholders to develop innovative solutions aligned with business goals.
  • Analyze business and technical requirements to design and implement effective solutions.
  • Develop, configure, and optimize multiple web-based applications using modern technologies.
  • Create and maintain unit and automation tests as part of continuous development pipelines.
  • Perform cross-browser testing and resolve compatibility issues.
  • Conduct peer code reviews, provide recommendations, and promote coding best practices.
  • Develop reusable components applied through an in-house design system library.
  • Offer technical mentorship to junior developers and foster an agile mindset across teams.
  • Provide on-call support, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and incident management.
  • Keep up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive continuous improvements.

Eligibility Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of relevant experience in software engineering.
  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong understanding of frontend development with JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS, and HTML.
  • Proficiency in React.js and a commitment to delivering exceptional user experiences.
  • Experience with AWS services and security best practices.
  • Familiarity with API infrastructure development and associated tools.
  • Excellent debugging skills and ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to mentor junior staff and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with lit programming and creating reusable components for design systems.
  • Proficiency in multiple programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript).
  • Expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Familiarity with centralized application observability and monitoring tools.

Location:

  • Kansas City, MO Metropolitan area (Hybrid: 50% on-site monthly)
  • Remote Eligible: No

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $130,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
