Job Description

As Business Data Analyst you are part of Customer Excellence Team, supporting and facilitating our organization with data analytics and enabling effective decision making. In close cooperation with your colleagues in Customer Excellence, Business Technology Services and the various business stakeholders, you transform market and customer data into sustainable dashboards / analytical reports based on business use cases. The ideal candidate has a strong affinity with data analytics and the health care environment, is a quick learner and brings a positive can-do mentality. You will report to the Manager Business Analytics.

Key responsibilities

• Analytics & Reporting - Understand, combine and transform local & global datasets into visualizations. Build sustainable dashboards (PowerBI) to support both operational reporting and strategic decision making. Guide colleagues to develop right visualizations for presenting results.
• Data modeling - Understand and further optimize the data models of current use cases. Develop data models for new use cases. Help manage the various data models which enable business users to answer their questions.
• Data governance - Partner with internal stakeholders from different departments to help shape how we manage customer data, to ensure alignment and to maintain analytical tools sustainable and compliant.
• State-of-the-art data platform – opportunity to familiarize yourself with a state-of-the-art data platform (Palantir Foundry)
• Innovation - Explore and innovate new solutions and capabilities in the areas of data, analytics, and AI to address business issues and opportunities. 

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher degree with academic courses in quantitative methods, analytics, statistics, economics or finance.
• Experience in a corporate environment & experience with relevant customer / market datasets within the biopharmaceutical industry is a plus.
• Analytically strong. Ability to rapidly connect & match analytics and data products to business needs. Able to analyze and draw meaningful conclusions from data. Affinity with relational database query languages using SQL.
• You need to be able to quickly be in the driver’s seat and work on the different use cases with the ability to quickly learn the new environment and Palantir Foundry platform.
• Expert knowledge of an analysis tool such as Microsoft PowerBI and curious to learn more about their platforms. Passionate about technology and excited about the impact of emerging / disruptive technologies.
• Gives importance to creating sustainable, well-documented, compliant data solutions.
• Great collaborator and excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Ability to independently frame business questions, identify data sources, formulate a methodology and manage project timelines and deliverables.
• English command (verbal and writing)
