DBA/Big Data Developer

Our client is a mobile marketing and audience platform. It empowers the mobile app ecosystem and simplifies mobile marketing, audience building, and mobile monetization. Platform's direct integration with over 500,000 monthly active mobile apps provides access to unprecedented levels of global first-party data, which can be leveraged to understand and predict behaviours, identify new opportunities and fuel growth.

We are looking for a Big Data developer and DBA to join our DataOps Team.

Requirements:

• Experience writing complex queries in SQL – 3 years
• Experience creating complex processes using Python – 2 years
• Relevant degree or studies (Information Systems / Industrial Engineering /etc)
• Analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to translate business requirements into a technical solution
• Self-learner, responsible and independent
• English at very high level and excellent communication skills

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop, and optimize data integration pipelines and data aggregations
• Work closely with business, data, product and tech teams
• Coding in Python, SQL and light BASH.
• Orchestration in Jenkins and Airflow
• End-to-end responsibility for processes – design, develop, test, monitor
• Share responsibilities of DBA, managing 2 large and complex Vertica Database clusters
• Monitoring and troubleshooting issues such as slowness in the cluster, heavy load, and slow queries.
• Includes sharing on-call duties with team members in case of production incidents (on-call some nights/weekends)
