Position Description:
You start your day by reviewing data quality reports and identifying any inconsistencies or issues that need to be addressed. Next, you conduct a training session with data stewards to ensure they understand the latest data governance policies and standards. You then collaborate with the IT team to implement new data monitoring practices. Midday, you work on updating the data governance catalog with new glossary terms and data assets. In the afternoon, you attend a meeting with the Data Governance Council to discuss ongoing projects and any new data governance initiatives. Later, you analyze a new dataset for accuracy and consistency, setting up data quality metrics as needed. You end your day by documenting your findings and preparing a report for the Data Governance Lead.

What We’re Looking For:
Entrees (Requirements):
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of data governance frameworks and best practices.
- Experience with data quality management and data stewardship.
- Certifications such as Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP), Certified Information Management Professional (CIMP), or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards related to data governance.
With a side of (additional skills):
- Proven experience leading a data governance program.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Purview, Azure Synapse, and other data management tools.
- Strong ability to analyze data for accuracy and consistency.
- Excellent communication and training skills to work with data owners and stewards.
- Ability to propose and implement effective data monitoring practices.
- Familiarity with governance practices for Power BI, Dynamics 365, and Salesforce.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Unleash your potential: What you will be doing and owning:
- Lead the development and implementation of data governance policies and standards.
- Work closely with data owners and stewards to train them on data governance practices, policies, and standards.
- Assist the Data Governance Lead in managing the Data Governance Council and Committee.
- Analyze data for accuracy and consistency and establish data quality metrics for various datasets.
- Propose and implement data monitoring practices to ensure ongoing data quality.
- Create and maintain a data governance catalog, including glossary terms and data assets.
- Utilize Microsoft Purview for metadata management and governance. Knowledge of other data management tools is a plus.
- Apply knowledge of Azure Synapse to support data governance initiatives.
- Develop governance practices around Power BI, Power BI datasets, Dynamics 365, and Salesforce.

Compensation:
The base salary range for this position is $130,000 to $160,000 USD per year commensurate with work location, experience, skills, certifications, education, and prior accomplishments. The position may be eligible for additional compensation, including a bonus, commission and/or equity, as applicable.
