A Brief Overview

Design, implement, and maintain investment data to ensure timely and accurate data for use across Investments. Develop process enhancements and/or tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness of Investment data validation and analytics and provide other project support to various Investment and Investment Accounting department teams. The role will promote collaboration across Investments as well as with our business partners throughout the organization while fostering a culture and environment to achieve excellence and innovation.

What you will do

  • Lead and influence team to develop process enhancements and implement and leverage data analytics tools, which could include supporting the transition from legacy databases to the Investment Data Warehouse; enhancing end-to-end processes related to data to reduce manual effort; and/or identify opportunities in daily processing to reduce human effort

  • Drive prioritization and influence collaboration with other teams within Investments

  • Lead the development of data policies, procedures, standards, and controls.

  • Build a robust knowledge of RGA’s portfolio and data structures

  • Build a robust knowledge of existing investment-related systems and software (ie SQL, Snowflake, Power BI, Aladdin, Bloomberg, etc)

  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Investments’ front, middle, and back office as well as with RGA corporate partners (ie, IT, Accounting, Structured Finance, etc)

  • Assist in special projects, committees, and meetings as required

  • Manage a team of 2 - 3 people

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or related field required and 8+ years of experience OR

  • Master’s degree in Arts/Sciences (MA/MS) MBA preferred and 5+ years of experience

  • Exceptional investigative, analytical, and problem-solving skills

  • Role model in a highly collaborative environment

  • Strong ability to work well in an environment with multiple concurrent projects, cyclical workflow and demanding time frames

  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances while managing multiple concurrent deadlines

  • Strong oral and written communication skills, demonstrating the ability to convey business terminology that is meaningful and well received

  • Advanced ability to interact with individuals across a wide variety of operational, functional, and technical disciplines

  • Strong ability to initiate, think outside the box, execute, and bring ideas to fruition

  • Ability to work well individually with little supervision as well as within a team

  • Intermediate technological skills (i.e, Excel, Power BI, SQL, Snowflake, Python, Bloomberg, and Blackrock Solutions)

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of portfolio and fixed income analytics

  • Advanced technological skills (i.e, Power BI, SQL, Snowflake, Python, Bloomberg, and Blackrock Solutions)

  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)

Compensation Range:

$120,375.00 - $179,365.00 Annual

Base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan. RGA also maintains a full range of health, retirement, and other employee benefits.
