As a Senior Data Scientist, you work with machine learning and advance statistical procedures in different projects for obtaining actionable insights and development of relevant AI/ML features for Grundfos digital products. You will primarily work and participate in prioritized business and strategy projects and working with problems such as monitoring and optimization of water systems, energy savings in pumping applications, anomaly detection of IOT data, and predictive maintenance solutions of pumping systems.

 

What is the job about?

You would join a competent team of data scientists and data engineers at AI Solutions department that is part of the Digital Development office in Bjerringbro, Denmark. We are part of the organization for driving the digital transformation agenda and more specifically, the foundation of Analytics and AI for our digital products. 

 

Your main responsibilities:

  • Working with machine learning and advance statistical procedures in different projects for obtaining actionable insights and development of relevant AI/ML features for Grundfos digital products.
  • Working with both development and deployment of data science processes integrated with our Data and AI platforms. 
  • Active communication with relevant stakeholders and discussion about potential AI/ML based solutions for different business sectors.
  • Suggesting, scoping, and formulating data-driven projects based on business's interests.
  • Staying informed about recent updates and developments in Data Science field for improving the results of data science projects.
  • Successful development and deployment of data science solution according to business purposes.
  • Effective communication with business stakeholder to find potential area of using ML/AI for our digital products.
  • Active collaboration with technology specialists and pump domain experts.
  • Coaching and helping new data scientist.
  • Contribution to standard deployment of ML solutions and data quality considerations for our data and AI platforms.
  • Contributions to the analytics and AI roadmap of digital products in collaboration with relevant business stakeholders

 

Your background:

We imagine that you have: 

  • Advanced degree in data science, statistics, computer science, or similar.
  • Extensive experience of using statistical and mathematical modelling based on IOT data in cloud or edge including timeseries analysis/forecasting, optimization techniques, and various supervised/unsupervised machine learning methods. It is an advantage also if you have previous experience of working with video, image, and audio data.  
  • At least three years of experience in a similar position. 
  • Proficiency in data science languages such as Python and R and strong software development skills.
  • In-depth understanding of data models and data management tools such as SQL.
  • It is an advantage if you have practical experience with MLOPs (Machine Learning Operations), DevOps process/pipelines and related cloud services/technologies for deployment of ML solutions (e.g., MLflow, Docker, Kubernetes, Azure ML, Snowflake, etc.). 
  • Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and active communication with different stakeholders from program managers, product owners, UI/UX developers, R&D researchers, testers, application experts, system architectures and sales and service colleagues.
  • Good communicational skills in English in both speech and writing.
