WHAT YOU’LL DO:
The Senior Data Analyst, Data Desk will play a highly visible role serving as a “Face of Data” for the Data Team, towards accelerating decision making, insights, and ultimately business performance through Data. The Senior Data Analyst will interact with teams across the business and around the world to handle a mixture of both routine and complex tasks, ranging from fielding ad-hoc requests through a ticket system, to supporting the Enterprise Data Calendar and activities such as month-end and quarter-end report close. This is an incredible opportunity to learn multiple areas of the business, learn how to scale the Data function, collaborate with teammates globally, and make a material impact through data.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Data Desk: Support timely triage of incoming requests, ranging from ad-hoc report requests, to BI tool access, to metrics “how-to” questions. Manage to a well-defined SLA for response and closure.
- Data Calendar: Own portions of the Enterprise Data Calendar to “keep the operations running” across the Data Office and ensure on-time delivery of data outputs, such as the Month End and Quarter End report close.
- Ad-Hoc Analysis: Provide on-demand analytical support for various business functions using established runbooks and playbooks. Conduct deep dives into specific areas of interest or concern (e.g., customer behavior, sales performance, marketing campaign effectiveness) and deliver timely recommendations.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Help serve as the bridge between routine Data requests and longer-termed strategic Data Initiatives, ensuring business requests are understood, responded to, and addressed in a timely manner.
- Reporting & Visualization: Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations that communicate key performance metrics and business insights. Use tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar BI platforms to make complex data accessible to non-technical stakeholders.
- Innovation: Recommend improvements to customer interfaces, processes, foundational Data systems, BI tools, and dashboards.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
- Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- 4-6 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related field.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical findings to non-technical stakeholders, coupled with the ability to story-tell results towards improving business outcomes.
- Experience working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- Embraces working on multiple problem areas over a short period of time and balancing immediate term vs. medium term deliverables.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business requirements into analytical solutions.
- Attention to detail and commitment to ensuring the accuracy, availability, and integrity of data.
- Advanced SQL with proven ability to integrate multi-table joins, pivots, grouping, and common table expressions in statements.
- Proven experience delivering reports and dashboards in at least one of the following data visualization tools: PowerBI, Tableau, Looker, Sisense, Qlik.
- Hands-on experience with statistical analysis and advanced Excel functions.
