As a Data Engineer, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining optimal data pipelines to assemble large and intricate datasets, catering to the business requirements of various CVS lines of business. Collaborating closely with teams, you will craft tools to provide actionable insights and integrate them with consumer touchpoints.

As a Data Engineer, you will:

  • Coordinate program and client implementation and maintenance activities for complex programs within the Health Engagement Engine (HEE) systems.  Responsibilities will include spreadsheet management, database tracking, program and client enrollment and complex research. 
  • Lead and/or participate in IT and Business projects for HEE initiatives through the project cycle.  Coordinate the development of operational timelines and milestone estimates from project team members, effectively prioritizing the tasks. Conduct regular project reviews and oversee business aspects of assigned projects to ensure each project is on-time with a high level of quality, while delivering all key milestones and deliverables.  Communicate and resolve project issues on all assigned projects using appropriate tools. 
  • Develop and conduct the quality control activities of program and client setups within impacted systems.  Work with colleagues to develop/implement quality controls within the HEE Operations team.  Conduct quality control activities on a regular basis to maintain continued quality within the Operations Team.   Provide continual feedback to streamline processes to meet quality standards. 
  • Lead all aspects of HEE operational setup documentation for Enterprise programs/channels including program specific setups, operational processes, etc.

Required Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience with SQL, NoSQL
  • 1+ years of experience with Python (or a comparable scripting language)
  • 1+ years of experience with Data warehouses (such as data modeling and technical architectures) and infrastructure components
  • 1+ years of experience with ETL/ELT, and building high-volume data pipelines
  • 1+ years of experience with reporting/analytic tools
  • 1+ years of experience with query optimization, data structures, transformation, metadata, dependency, and workload management
  • 1+ years of experience with Big data and cloud architecture

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with complex systems and solving challenging analytical problems
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills within and across teams
  • Knowledge of the Health Engagement Engine preferred
  • Working knowledge of the CVS Health (PBM and/or Retail business) internal operations preferred
  • Project Management experience preferred
  • Experience with documentation, SOP, and writing operational procedures
  • Understanding of software development methodologies including, agile and waterfall

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, Data Analytics, Machine Learning, or related field required. Master’s Degree preferred.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$79,310.00 - $173,040.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
