Lead Data Architect

Your Mission as a Lead Data Architect

Your mission as the Lead Data Architect is to direct the design and development of the data architecture underlying Energage’s suite of products. You’ll determine how to evolve the current architecture to support the planned product growth. You will be given the opportunity to identify the best approach needed to evolve the current architecture to one that positions Energage for the future so should be comfortable with some ambiguity and driving through obstacles. You’ll collaborate closely and effectively with coworkers in Product Management, Experience Design, Software Engineering, Data Science, Security, QA, IT, and Business Intelligence.

 

Accountability & Impact:
In this role, you’ll...

  • Create comprehensive conceptual, logical, and physical data models including the appropriate normalization and denormalization techniques to minimize redundancy, ensure data consistency, and ensure performance goals are met.
  • Analyze the data flow across the product suite and with 3rd party integration partners to ensure the data pipelines are optimized.
  • Evaluating and recommending appropriate database technologies based on performance, scalability, and data volume requirements including cloud-based data storage and processing options.
  • Defining data access controls, encryption methods, and data protection strategies to safeguard sensitive information.
  • Recommend and Implement monitoring tools to identify data quality issues, performance bottlenecks, and potential data security risks. Participate in analyzing and improving database queries to enhance data retrieval performance.

 

What Your Bring to the Role:

  • Experience leading the data architecture responsibility in a complex environment for a set of enterprise-class products.
  • Extensive experience with SQL Server and Azure.
  • Experience with Cloud-based NoSQL data storage and data processing services.
  • Expertise with modern patterns and approaches to data architectures.
  • Experience applying the appropriate lean/agile principles pragmatically.
  • Capable of working with a variety of stakeholders, multiple teams (on-shore and off-shore), and leading by influence.
  • Minimum of 10+ years’ experience.

 

Nice to have’s:

  • Experience in development of HRTech products.
  • Experience with AWS.

Remote in the region:  This is a fully remote role but we are looking for someone within commuting distance to Exton, PA for an occasional on-site meeting (potentially once per quarter).
