Job Description

Summary: The Analytics & Insights team has been a key contributor to driving Domino’s industry-leading sales growth by pairing strategic thought leadership with the latest analytic techniques in the fields of data science, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and primary research. The A&I team leverages their skills to drive outstanding consumer and employee experiences to fuel future growth.

 

As a Data Scientist on the Marketing Science team, you will be primarily responsible for championing robust methodologies and statistically sound decision-making. These will serve to optimize the profitability of Domino’s Digital & non-Digital Marketing Channels. In this role, you will be uniquely positioned to influence the evolution of Domino’s marketing strategies. This will be done by leveraging analytics to identify areas of efficient growth throughout the entire marketing ecosystem. The marketing landscape is rapidly evolving so this data scientist will need to additionally be flexible and creative in identifying new and effective ways of measuring the impact of emerging and non-traditional marketing platforms. This role will work closely with and contribute to the development of state-of-the-art Media Mix Modeling. To be successful as a Data Scientist on the Marketing Data Science team you should have a demonstrated background blending large data, statistics, creativity, and consulting into actionable outcomes.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

 

Marketing Statistical Consulting (50%)

  • Regularly consult with multiple marketing vendors, to drive best-in-class marketing AB measurement
  • Provide optimal statistical test designs for measuring and reporting the effectiveness of various marketing tests
  • Provide feedback on test elements such as sampling strategies, statistical techniques, power, and audience optimization
  • Analyze tests to provide recommendations on conversion, customer lifetime sales, advertising efficiency, and profitability
  • Shape and guide strategic business objectives with disciplined analytic approach
  • Strong mix of influencing partners, consulting, and individual delivery of analysis
  • Proactively monitor and report on key test-health metrics
  • Identify, develop, and present recommendations for further improvements and testing
  • Partner with and manage external vendors when needed to address key business issues
  • Majority of this is accomplished through conversation, with partners both internal and external.

 

Advanced Media Measurement (40%)

  • Media Mix Modeling – support the development of best-in-class in-house media mix models
  • Develop explanatory Machine Learning Models on the effects that various marketing attributes have on sales performance
  • Recommend and perform custom statistical testing on high impact media channels such as TV

 

Ad-hoc Analytics (10%)

  • Adhoc data pulls, simple stats and analysis, customer segmentation, etc
  • Collaborate with and provide data-driven insights to the Marketing team on follow-up and ad-hoc requests

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Marketing Science, or related  field
  • 1+ years of professional related work experience
  • Proficient in SQL 
  • Proficient in R or Python 
  • Applied experience with statistical computer languages (R, Python, etc.)
  • Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, probability, properties of distributions, statistical tests, etc.) and experience with applications.
  • Knowledge of a variety of predictive modeling & machine learning techniques (classification, predictive, artificial neural networks, etc.) and their real-world application.
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office - Fluent in Power Point and Proficient in Excel
  • Databricks & Microsoft Azure experience desired
