Data Analytics Consultant - 12 Months Contract

You are an experienced Data Analytics Consultant with 3+ years experience, seeking your next step or are currently working in a similar role within a comparable environment. You’re motivated to join a growing and dynamic team.  

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, driven, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team. In this impactful role, you will be providing leadership and direction, actively embedding and promoting the purpose, values, and vision of Turner & Townsend. 

Please note this position is initially a 12-month contract. 

Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Interpret data, analyse results and produce consistent and clear reports
• Develop, implement and maintain databases, data collection processes and analytical solutions that optimise efficiency and maintain quality
• Network with clients to chase down leads and investigate new data sources
• Work with senior leaders to prioritise information based on business needs in a fast paced, ever changing environment
• Understand the differing needs of the various audiences that a single data model can serve
• Locate and define opportunities for change and improvement to process

Qualifications

Requirements:

• 2-3 years proven experience in an analytical role
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with the ability to collect, collate, analyse and interrogate large amounts of varied information
• Adept at report writing, visualizing data and presenting findings
• Strong knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Power Platform solutions, with experience using Power BI
• Be proficient in Power Query M & DAX languages
• Be able to provide technical expertise and support to non-technical colleagues/clients
• Eligible to get a reliability clearance with Govt of Canada
• Able to commute in Ottawa downtown 4 days a week

Beneficial to have:

• Bi-lingual English and French
• Coding experience or desire to learn languages, particularly R or Python
• DA-100 Microsoft Certification
• Experience in handling or deploying Microsoft Azure
• SQL
