As a Staff Power BI Developer on the ERP team, you will be developing and updating BI reports as well as communicating actionable insights to improve corporate decision-making. You should be able to manage data, evaluate its results, and display them strategically by using visualization tools, DAX queries, charts, and relationships. You’ll influence others in technical decision-making and technology adoption within their domain and implement standards and work with the business to deliver initiatives to our manufacturing division. We are looking for: − Bachelors’ degree or comparable formal training, certification, or work experience− 7+ years of proven experience in Power BI design, development and system integration − 2+ years experience with DAX and PowerQuery− Advanced knowledge of data architecture, data modeling, database operations / efficiency / tuning and SQL− Experience with Microsoft Fabric a plus− Experience with Microsoft Dynamics ERP platform a plus− Experience with extended Power Platform a plus− Experience with data engineering technologies (PySpark, Spark SQL) a plus− Experience with Direct Lake data modeling a plus− Experience supporting retail, supply chain, or manufacturing operations a plus

What is the work?

− Designs data models that transform raw data into insightful knowledge by understanding business requirements in the context of BI. − Leads others in the development / maintaining / troubleshooting of existing or new techniques, processes, and technologies. − Prioritizes self and team development; stays ahead of new technologies, skills, and processes and looks for opportunities to mentor and grow others' skills. − Stays ahead of new technologies; Identifies / introduces new solutions to influence and deliver business value. − Drives priority and urgency to influence roadmap aligned to organizational strategy. − Advanced knowledge of Microsoft and industry best practices and standards; Recommends and drives changes to processes and standards at the team level aligned with organizational and company goals. − Leads efforts to identify gaps / opportunities to leverage technology to improve efficiencies and reduce maintenance costs.

Development & Support − Leads reviews of functional design / requirements to identify technical risks and obstacles− Leads efforts in system development and maintenance, ensuring optimal use of resources. − Establishes source control and deployment standards− Establishes technical standards for reporting and data modeling− Coordinates with Digital teams, Engineers, and vendors to facilitate awareness of / alignment on technical design and needed resources. − Contributes to test planning / test case development; identifies required technical tasks to support testing; ensures SIT / UAT is obstacle-free; prepares environments to support SIT / UAT execution and training.  − Leads system design discussions involving cross-domain (upstream/downstream) functional/technical dependencies (business processes, supporting technology, and contacts).

Working Knowledge & Experience − Contributes to and oversees the development of technical documentation and training for reporting and data modeling assets. − Raises awareness to and leads efforts to minimize technical debt (risk management, agility, etc.). − Proactively looks for ways to improve efficiency and reduce costs of hardware / software maintenance.− Effectively engage, collaborate, and communicate, tailoring the message based on your audience across varying levels.
