Senior Power BI Developer 12 month Contract Leeds Hybrid

This role is inside IR35, 1-2 days per week on-site in Leeds

bigspark are seeking an experienced Power BI Senior Developer to design, develop, and deploy Power BI dashboards and solutions within an Azure environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data visualization, Azure data pipelines, and DevOps practices, with a focus on implementing best practices and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and design interactive Power BI dashboards and reports to meet business requirements.
• Build and manage Azure Data Pipelines and integrate them with Azure Data Stores.
• Deploy Power BI solutions using CI/CD pipelines in a DevOps environment.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, understand data, and translate them into actionable insights.
• Optimize Power BI performance and ensure data quality by adhering to best practices and industry standards.
• Ensure data security and compliance with relevant standards, especially concerning identity management data.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Power BI reports, data models, and Azure integrations.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of solutions.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience as a Power BI Developer, with a portfolio of dashboard projects.
• Strong understanding of Azure Data Services, including Data Pipelines, Data Factory, and Azure Data Lake.
• Experience in Power BI deployment using CI/CD pipelines and Azure DevOps.
• Familiarity with data structures, identity management data, and related compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in DAX, Power Query, and data modelling.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
