BI Engineer

Virtuagym is looking for a highly motivated BI Engineer based in Spain with 1–2 years of experience to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to significantly contribute to our mission of making the world a healthier and fitter place.

In this role, you will support one of our core projects to democratize data within Virtuagym. While you’ll be guided and mentored through the process, you will be empowered to lead BI projects end-to-end. You will also work closely with the data and analytics departments, developing a range of professional skills and expertise. What It’s All About

As a BI Engineer, you will be involved in the following activities:

• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines, databases, and ETL systems using tools like Domo, AWS, and Airflow.

• Guide departments to make smart, data-driven decisions.

• Use SQL, Python, or other programming languages to analyze and manipulate data.

• Support strategic decision-making with actionable insights.

• Create value out of data generated by employees, clients, and consumers.

• Develop visualizations to translate complex datasets into business insights.

• Make data accessible to everyone in the company, helping teams measure success and focus on what works (ROI driven).

• Implement data governance and privacy standards across platforms.

Requirements

Your Skills

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Mathematics, or another related field.

• 1–2 years of experience in any BI or Data roles.

• Understanding of data structures, databases, and good knowledge of SQL

• Familiarity of BI concepts and the data life cycle

• Highly motivated and enthusiastic, with great initiative and work ethic 

• Full English working proficiency (verbal and written)

• Strong analytical skills and a getting-things-done mentality

• Proactive and full of new ideas

• Eager to use and create valuable data insights by using the latest technologies in the area of BI and Data Science (we’ve got licenses!)

• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on data accuracy and quality

• An interest in health, fitness, nutrition, productivity and/or workplace wellness are additional assets

• Good communication skills to work remotely or in a hybrid environment.

• You are based in Spain.
