Position Summary

This position reports to the EVP of Data Science and is responsible for building and leading our AI/ML operations function. This role is crucial in streamlining our model development lifecycle, enhancing efficiency, and ensuring scalability and compliance of our machine learning operations.

Job Responsibility

Efficiency Enhancement

• Develop and implement strategies to accelerate model development and deployment processes.
• Establish documentation and structure for quick access to features.
• Own and optimize monitoring of model performance metrics (e.g., AUC, drift)

Scalability Management

• Design and implement systems for managing and monitoring hundreds of models.
• Establish and maintain triggers for model rebuilding or refitting based on temporal or performance factors.
• Implement continuous integration, delivery, and deployment practices for ML models.

Risk Reduction and Compliance

• Ensure transparency and quick response to regulatory scrutiny.
• Manage storage and organization of model documentation and development processes.
• Collaborate with compliance teams to meet industry and organizational policies.

Team Leadership and Strategy

• Build and lead the AI/ML Ops team.
• Develop long-term strategies for AI/ML operations improvement.
• Collaborate with data science, engineering, and business teams to align ML ops with company goals.

Education Required

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field. (Advanced Degree preferred.)

Experience Required

5+ years of experience in machine learning development, operations, or similar roles.

Knowledge Required

Excellent written and verbal communications skills; adaptability and flexibility to a changing environment; and comfortable working in a dynamic, high volume, fast-paced environment. Ability to understand and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and laws governing our industry/business and products.

Physical Requirements
