TEAM OVERVIEW

KKR is building out an enterprise data group to collect, manage, and harness the power of data across our diverse portfolio investments. Reporting into the Global Markets Operations team, this group will help ensure all KKR data is accessible, consumable, and drive the curation of insights across the organization.

As one of the most established and matured branches within Global Data Ops, Investment Data Operations (IDO) is responsible for investment reference data across all investment strategies. Our data is consumed by Portfolio managers, Compliance, Finance, Client reporting and relied on to make real time business decisions. 

POSITION SUMMARY

The role is responsible for collaborating with various groups within the firm on a variety of projects. The team operates at high standards in a fast-paced environment, consistently collaborating with other teams in the operations group, trading team members and external agents and counterparties. The role, based in Gurugram, is critical to KKR’s data support around the globe.  It requires someone who is detailed, reliable, and risk-oriented, with strong critical thinking capabilities. 

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Operational Excellence

  • Perform asset set up for both public and private markets, identify exceptions, research, and resolve issues independently on a real time basis.
  • Reconciliation, quality control checks for existing securities / updating changes as per global sources like Bloomberg, rating agencies, in-house instructions.
  • Monitor and update ratings of Moody’s or S&P or Fitch agencies, research for any variances and alert global teams on a proactive basis to ensure compliance.
  • Validate pricing, positions data in database and related applications as per existing internal processes and / or instructions received from the business for securities.
  • Perform end of day pricing process. Perform all quality control tasks and resolve exceptions independently.
  • Assist internal client to set up and build data recon on KKR’s enterprise reconciliation platform (Duco)
  • Execute systems upgrades and new application implementation by collaborating with various stakeholders.
  • Perform various ad hoc data analysis via SQL queries, present findings through data visualization on tableau.
  • Operate independently to develop and execute procedures for tracking portfolio investments in multibillion dollar funds.
  • Ensure all deliverables meet quality, consistency, and accuracy standards.
  • Ensure execution of all tasks (daily, weekly, monthly) as needed.
  • Liaise with global teams and support ongoing projects, process improvement initiatives, system integration, perform UAT, as needed.
  • Own ad-hoc tasks as needed.
  • Interact with the local and global teams on a regular basis to understand their requirements, reporting needs and possible challenges.
  • Liaise closely with global counterparts to resolve all queries on a day-to-day basis. 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • 1-3 years of experience in similar roles and understands requirements for financial organizations.
  • Experience in a multinational Financial Services organization and/or Private Equity preferred.
  • Hands on experience with reference data management or security master related process.
  • Displays team-work orientation, is highly collaborative and self-reliant.
  • Builds strong relationships with local and global colleagues.
  • Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey
  • information and interact with others.
  • Displays high intellectual curiosity, innovative mindset, and integrity.
  • Knowledge of loans, bonds, loan syndication preferred.
  • Knowledge of investment strategies like Direct Lending, Mezzanine, CLOs, and Asset Backed Financing preferred.
  • Ability to manage numerous requests and tasks daily and track / respond in a timely manner.
  • Ability to assess and apply controls and a range of control frameworks.
  • Experience with tableau, creating visuals, building dashboard preferred.
  • Ability to detect & evaluate risk factors and assist and review mitigation of identified risks.
