We are now looking for a Senior Technical Lead for Automotive SW, based in Stuttgart, Germany. This person is responsible for coordinating the delivery, integration, testing and bug-fixing of NVIDIA’s ADAS products (incl. Drive Software, DriveOS, Tegra SoCs) with our automotive partners.
What you’ll be doing:
Working hand in hand with our automotive partners to coordinate the integration of NVIDIA’s products in their vehicle lines and ensure a successful introduction into mass production.
Coordinating SW deliveries for both platform SW and functional SW for different configurations of ADAS products incl. active safety, parking, visualization and driving functions with different levels of automation (L2, L2+, L2++, L3)
Leading daily SW and system integration and testing work with our partners, structuring deliveries, and variant config management.
Tracking SW issues, coordinating the analysis and prioritizing bug-fixing activities together with teams in Germany, Sweden, US, India, China.
Participating in management reviews, presenting current technical status.
Contributing to technical strategy definition for AI based autonomous driving solutions incl. the introduction and scaling of end-to-end approaches, VLMs and WLMs.
Participating in test driving campaigns to experience in-vehicle performance of all driving functions.
Providing guidance on ISO26262, 21448, ASPICE compliance
Supporting the development and growth of the NVIDIA auto SW engineering team through hiring, mentoring, etc.
What we need to see:
Proven track record bringing complex automotive embedded products into mass production with different OEMs
10+ years work experience in ADAS or autonomous driving
Broad knowledge of automotive related AI SW methods for perception and behavior planning
Wide understanding of automotive technologies (communication buses, automotive radars, cameras, lidars, Autosar SW, etc.)
Experience in program management, bug tracking, configuration management, etc.
MS degree or PhD from in an engineering or computer science related discipline
Based in the Stuttgart region or willing to relocate. Willingness to attend regular on-site meetings with automotive partners on daily basis, travel internationally as required
Excellent written and oral skills in English and German; and a valid EU drivers license
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
Proficient in C, C++, and Python programming with expertise in Linux, QNX, command line work, and shell scripting.
Skilled in Computer Vision, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning for automotive or robotics applications.
Experienced in developing software for complex SoCs, including performance optimization for GPUs, Deep Learning accelerators, CUDA, and TensorRT.
Adept in automotive software development best practices such as requirements management, traceability, coding standards, code reviews, unit testing, and code coverage.
Knowledgeable in automotive safety and quality standards, including ASPICE, ISO 26262, ISO 21448, and IATF 16949, with experience in audits and assessments.
