JOB TITLE: D365 Data Lead / Expert - Contract

LOCATION: Aylesford, Kent - Office based

WORKING HOURS: 8am - 4.30pm

A little bit about the role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated D365 Project Data Lead to join our dynamic team. As a D365 Project Data Lead, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the effective management and governance of data across our Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain project. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that data is migrated, cleansed, and integrated seamlessly into the environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong data management expertise, a deep understanding of Finance & Supply Chain, and experience of working within data-centric projects. This position has the potential to develop into a permanent position within our IT team, which we are happy to discuss during the interview process.

Some of the key responsibilities

Data Migration and Integration:

  • Carry out the migration of data from legacy systems into D365, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Coordinate data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
  • Manage integration of data between D365 and other enterprise applications or systems (SQL Based).
  • Work closely with technical teams to identify and resolve data migration issues.

Data Quality and Cleansing:

  • Define data cleansing activities, including data profiling, validation, and remediation.
  • Lead efforts to identify and resolve data quality issues across the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all data-related aspects of the D365 project.
  • Work with business and technical teams to understand data requirements and objectives.
  • Provide guidance and training to business users and project team members on data management best practices.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in data management, data migration, and integration in Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) or similar ERP platforms.
  • An understanding of D365 data architecture, modules, and integrations. In particular finance and ideally supply chain , but this module is not essential
  • Experience with SQL, Microsoft Excel & other data analysis tools.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
