ROLE OVERVIEW: 

We are seeking a skilled and driven Data Scientist to join our data science team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Python programming, experience with supervised machine learning techniques, and exposure to large language models (LLMs) and Generative AI (GenAI). Experience with Databricks is a plus. In this role, you will be working on cutting-edge projects that leverage advanced machine learning to solve business challenges and drive innovation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models, with a focus on supervised learning techniques, to address business needs.
• Research and experiment with large language models (LLMs) and Generative AI (GenAI) to explore innovative solutions.
• Clean, preprocess, and analyze large datasets to prepare them for modeling.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and provide actionable insights from data.
• Build and optimize data pipelines and workflows using tools like Databricks (preferable).
• Validate and evaluate models to ensure accuracy, performance, and reliability.
• Monitor and maintain production models to ensure their performance over time.
• Document methodologies, findings, and processes to ensure transparency and reproducibility.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in machine learning, deep learning, and Generative AI to continuously improve solutions.

KEY SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proficiency in Python and its libraries for data science (e.g., NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Solid understanding of supervised machine learning techniques and their applications.
• Hands-on experience with large language models (LLMs) and Generative AI (GenAI) frameworks/tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work with complex, unstructured data.
• Experience with Databricks or similar cloud-based data platforms (preferable).
• Familiarity with data visualization tools and techniques (e.g., Matplotlib, Seaborn, or similar).
• Experience with version control systems like Git.
• Strong communication skills to explain technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice-to-Have:

• Knowledge of natural language processing (NLP) and text analytics.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Familiarity with MLOps practices and tools for model deployment and monitoring.
• Experience with unsupervised learning techniques or other advanced ML algorithms.
