Data Scientist Intern

AwanTunai is looking for a Data Scientist Intern who will assist in data collection, cleaning, analysis, and visualization under the guidance of our data scientists to gain practical experience and skills in the field of data science.

Responsibilities

1. Conduct data exploration and discovery on data from a variety of sources and various types, including text data, relational data, voice data, etc.

2. Conduct experiments with data, build working prototypes to demonstrate the ideas/results.

3. Utilize existing software packages and libraries, or build new components according to specs.

4. Participate in research under supervision.

Requirements

1. Currently pursuing a degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Systems, or a similar discipline).

2. Basic knowledge of application of data analysis, machine learning, data mining, and statistical analysis

3. Intermediate level programming capabilities, using python or app development tools

4. Strong mathematical foundations

5. Working knowledge of databases systems, data processing and visualization tools

6. Ability to take ambiguous directions and high level descriptions of problems and identify precise, quantitative solutions
