Job Summary
 

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Analytics Analyst to join our dynamic and growing team. In this role, you will leverage your analytical skills and expertise in statistical modeling, data mining, and machine learning to drive strategic business decisions. This role will utilize advanced analytical techniques to transform data into actionable insights through the incorporation of market research and statistical methods.  You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement, optimize performance, and enhance our data-driven culture. 

Role and Responsibilities 

Data Analysis & Modeling: 

  • Design and implement advanced statistical models and machine learning algorithms to extract insights from complex datasets 

  • Conduct thorough exploratory data analysis to uncover trends, patterns, anomalies and insights 

Collaboration: 

  • Partner with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into analytical projects. 

  • Translate complex analytical findings into clear, actionable recommendations for senior leadership  

Project Leadership: 

  • Lead multiple analytics projects simultaneously from inception to completion, managing timelines and resources effectively 

  • Develop project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies 

  • Ensure the successful delivery of insights that drive business performance 

Visualization & Reporting: 

  • Create visualizations, interactive dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI or similar to effectively communicate insights 

  • Automate reporting processes to improve efficiency and accuracy 

Research & Innovation: 

  • Stay updated on industry trends, tools, techniques and emerging technologies in advanced analytics and data science 

  • Experiment with new methodologies to continually enhance analytical capabilities 

  • Challenge the status quo with data and innovative thinking 

 

Qualifications and Education Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree with 1+ year of experience or master’s degree in data science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field 

  • Delivering impactful analytics projects 

  • Agility in adapting to changing priorities 

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work with complex datasets 

  • Excellent quantitative and qualitative analytical skills 

  • Strong collaborator with excellent organizational and communication skills 

  • Data mining experience using SQL 

  • Proficiency in programming languages like Python  

  • Experience preferred in Rapid Miner or other ETL tools (e.g. Alteryx) 

  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI)
