Data Scientist

Position Type: Full-Time/Contingent

Salary Range: Starting at $91k (depending on experience)
Work Location: Hybrid remote/in-office. (see onsite requirements below)

**On-Site Requirements: On-boarding will require 1-2 visits to Patuxent River, MD. Training/tasking may require occasional on-site work at Patuxent River, MD. Future on-site/telework requirements/schedules may change as additional client direction is received.

Essential Functions:

• Develops analytics methods and processes.
• Identifies appropriate methods and tools to extract knowledge from data.
• Leverages large volumes of data to answer challenges.
• Prepares data for use in predictive and prescriptive modeling (data cleansing).
• Automates organizational work through scripts for data processing and analytics.
• Develops and applies algorithms and machine learning methods.
• Applies analytic methods and software tools to design and develop analytic programs.
• Other duties as assigned or required.

Requirements

Required:

• Experience in data science and analytic support required.
• BS/BA degree in Information Technology or related discipline and 3 years related experience, OR AA/AS degree in Information Technology or related discipline and 7 years related experience, OR HS diploma/GED and 9 years related experience required.

Security Clearance:
Active Secret or Interim Secret clearance required. Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc.

Education:
BS/BA degree in Information Technology or related discipline and 3 years related experience, OR AA/AS degree in Information Technology or related discipline and 7 years related experience, OR HS diploma/GED and 9 years related experience required.
