Job Title: Data Science Senior Manager

Role Overview:
In the role of Senior Manager within EY GDS's AI team, you will be at the helm of pioneering AI/ML project deliveries, with a keen focus on leveraging AWS or Azure GenAI, NLP, and Transformer models to drive innovation and solve complex challenges. Your leadership will be instrumental in managing a portfolio of data science engagements, fostering strong relationships with global clients and EY stakeholders, and steering your team towards delivering excellence. You will play a critical role in nurturing a team of high-caliber professionals, cultivating a culture of high performance, and maintaining EY's reputation as a leader in AI/ML solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct the complete lifecycle management of advanced analytics, ML, AI, and GenAI initiatives, with a focus on NLP and Transformer models, ensuring flawless integration with AWS cloud services.
• Act as a mentor to junior team members, providing them with the training and insights needed to become proficient in AI/ML and cloud technologies.
• Display outstanding project management skills, leading the charge in the successful delivery of complex AI/ML projects, adhering to tight deadlines, and exceeding client expectations.
• Engage actively in problem-solving and hands-on technical delivery, committing to the highest levels of quality and pushing the envelope of innovation.
• Analytical Problem Solving – Possess the ability to dissect problems from a holistic perspective, rather than being constrained by specific techniques.
• Planning: Demonstrate the capacity to make significant contributions to both day-to-day operations and long-term strategic planning.
• Industry Knowledge - Stay informed about the latest developments in Data Science and AI, and adeptly apply this knowledge to a variety of scenarios.
• Integrated View - Skillfully consolidate diverse perspectives, data sources, and methodologies to address and resolve client issues effectively.
• Relationship Management - Cultivate and maintain strong, healthy relationships and partnerships with clients, EY partners, senior leaders, and team members at all levels.
• Knowledge of Analytical Tools - Have a solid understanding of the foundational features of Data Science tools such as Python, R, or SAS.
• Getting Work Done Through Others – Possess the leadership ability to delegate effectively, overseeing a team of 15-30 people or more. This role is not suited for those who prefer to work as individual contributors.
• Inspiring Others – Have the charisma and leadership qualities necessary to inspire and motivate team members, being a true people person.

Skills and Attributes for Success:

• Exceptional technical acumen in AWS cloud services, GenAI, NLP, and Transformer AI/ML models, coupled with a track record of successful implementations.
• Outstanding project management prowess, characterized by a methodical and results-driven approach to overseeing intricate AI/ML initiatives from concept to completion.
• Superior communication skills, with a talent for distilling complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and accessible language for a diverse array of stakeholders.
• Strategic insight and foresight, contributing to the overarching vision and strategic direction of the Data Sciences team, while staying attuned to the latest industry trends and technological advancements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Quantitative Methods, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications in cloud technologies (AWS, Azure) are strongly preferred.
• An MBA or equivalent experience in business management is highly valued.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in advanced analytical roles, with at least 5 years dedicated to project and people management so total is of 15+ years of experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in deploying AI/ML solutions on AWS and a deep understanding of advanced data modeling techniques.
