ROLE PURPOSE:

The Data Management Officer leads in the execution of the Automated Sponsorship Information System (ASISts) mandates and ASISt-related activities, innovations on data management and analysis procedures, and technical guidance to sponsorship operations in the program impact areas by effectively managing and ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and security of all data related to sponsored children and their sponsors. Oversee the collection, storage, analysis, and utilization of data to enhance sponsor-child relationships, improve communication, and support decision-making within the Sponsorship program.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES: 
 
- Accountable for the effective and efficient Child Information Management (CIM) by effectively managing the Automated Sponsorship Information System (ASISt) ensuring sponsorship operations are supported and records and data entries are accurate and up to date and/or in accordance with the prescribed due date.


- Ensure all required child data is collected and entered into the ASISt database for timely submission, with particular attention to detail during Family Application collection, Mid-Year Eligibility Check and Annual Family Update collection. 


- Ensure Philippine Sponsorship can meet the required Child Information Management Plan (CIMP) target each month/year by establishing a system for monitoring and sharing information that would help Program Offices in generating the CIMP. 


- Responsible in the timely update of on-hold case histories appearing in the Child on Hold Report from GSO and timely report cases of case histories whose holds should be lifted. Initiate and develop tools that can facilitate improvements in sponsorship operations. 


- Accountable in data security and compliance to Global Sponsorship Operations (GSO) by safeguarding sponsor and child data from unauthorized access and breaches, ensure compliance with SC data protection policies and procedure. 


- Ensure Data Integrity and Quality Assurance by regularly conducting data audits to identify and rectify discrepancies, implement data quality standards and procedures to maintain accurate and reliable data set by global sponsorship operations and develop data validation processes to address errors. 


- Responsible in sponsor-child data analysis and reporting by identifying trends, patterns and insights. Generate reports and present findings to support timely and logical decision-making.


OTHER RESPONSIBLITIES:

Additional tasks and responsibilities deemed necessary in the Sponsorship Program may be assigned.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS :
 

  • ·A degree in Computer Science or other IT-related field is preferred.
  • Highly skilled in Automated Sponsorship Information System (ASISt)
  • Conversant in MS Access and MS Word Mail Merge.
  • Excellent computer skills including word processing, presentation and use of spreadsheets combined with the ability to maintain office and management information systems.
  • Proficiency in database management system
