Role Introduction

Join OneAdvanced as the Lead Data Architect, where you will take charge of developing and executing the enterprise-wide data strategy. As a senior leader within the organization, you will guide a small data team across integration and analytical functions, shaping the data landscape and driving the company towards a corporate Centre of Excellence in data management. This role demands a highly skilled and experienced individual who can deliver a comprehensive data strategy while ensuring robust governance, architecture, and integration across the enterprise estate.

The Lead Data Architect will oversee data governance, data stewardship, integration, and data quality initiatives. You will be instrumental in defining architectural models, data standards, and best practices while leading the team in implementing scalable, optimized, and secure data solutions that support business objectives.

What You Will Do

• Responsibilities:

  • Enterprise Data Strategy Development: Design and implement a comprehensive data strategy that aligns with the organization’s goals and future growth. Lead the transition to an enterprise-level data framework, establishing a roadmap for data architecture, integration, analytics, and governance.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Lead and mentor a small data team, including Integration Specialists, Data Quality Analysts, and Platform Admins. Provide strategic direction and foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Data Governance and Stewardship: Establish and enforce data governance frameworks, including data standards, data stewardship practices, and compliance policies. Develop and maintain processes for data quality, integrity, and security.
  • Architectural Modelling and Design: Develop enterprise data models, architectural blueprints, and data flow diagrams that support business needs. Oversee data architecture design for integrations, analytics, and data management, ensuring scalability and performance.
  • Integration Oversight: Supervise all IT integrations across platforms such as Boomi/Prismatic, ETL, CRM applications, Helix/ServiceNow, Anaplan, and Snowflake. Ensure integrations follow best practices for data flow, error handling, compensation logic, and security.
  • Data Quality and MDM Processes: Lead the implementation of Master Data Management (MDM) practices, including data deduplication, validation, and cleansing. Establish data quality metrics and monitor adherence to standards.
  • Strategy for Corporate Centre of Excellence: Drive the evolution of the data team into a corporate Centre of Excellence. Establish best practices, training programs, and strategic initiatives to elevate data literacy and data-driven decision-making across the organization.
  • Analytics Leadership: Guide the analytics efforts by setting standards for data modelling, reporting, and visualization. Ensure data accessibility and usability for business intelligence and analytics.
  • Advanced Error Recovery and Automation: Implement advanced error handling, automated monitoring, and data recovery processes across integrations. Design solutions for data synchronization, rollback, and reconciliation.
  • Data Security and Compliance: Oversee data security practices, including encryption, secure access management, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Ensure data governance policies align with security protocols.
  • Documentation and Technical Standards: Maintain detailed documentation for data architectures, integration processes, governance frameworks, and best practices. Standardize technical approaches across projects.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with other departments, including IT, Engineering, Cybersecurity, and Business Units, to align data strategies with broader organizational goals. Serve as the primary point of contact for data architecture decisions.

   

  Technical Skills:

  • Data Architecture and Modelling: Extensive experience in developing enterprise data models, data architecture, and data integration designs. Proficiency in modeling complex data systems and mapping data flows across multiple platforms.
  • Data Governance and MDM: Strong background in data governance frameworks, data stewardship, and Master Data Management. Expertise in implementing data standards, quality processes, and compliance policies.
  • Integration and Middleware Tools: Deep knowledge of integration platforms such as Boomi, Prismatic, and cloud-based data tools like Snowflake and Anaplan. Familiarity with API management and hybrid cloud architectures.
  • Programming and Scripting Languages: Proficiency in Python, SQL, JavaScript, or other programming languages for data transformation and automation.Solid understanding of integration best practices and governance.
  • Analytics and Business Intelligence: Experience leading analytics initiatives, including data modelling, reporting, and visualization using tools like Power BI. Understanding of how to leverage data for business intelligence.
  • Error Handling and Automation Techniques: Advanced skills in designing error handling strategies, implementing automated monitoring, and utilizing compensation logic.
  • DevOps and CI/CD Processes: Familiarity with DevOps practices, including automated deployment, testing, and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Security Practices and Compliance: Expertise in data security, including encryption techniques, secure data management, and adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Project and Program Management: Experience managing large-scale data projects, including migration, transformation, and integration efforts. Familiarity with project management tools like Jira and ServiceNow.

What You Will Have

Requirements:

10 to 14 Years of Experience: Senior-level experience in data architecture, data governance, integration management, and data strategy.

Must Have Skill : Data Architect , MDM Solution, Informatica, Data Policy, PowerBi, Microsoft Fabric, Purview, Informatica (or other MDM solutions), Boomi, Anaplan (experience preferred), ServiceNow.

• Ideally, experience in leading data initiatives at the enterprise level.
• Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and develop technical teams. Experience in establishing strategic directions and executing complex data programs.
• Consultancy or M&A Experience (Preferred): Background in consultancy or involvement in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) is beneficial, demonstrating experience in handling complex data integrations and strategy changes.
