AI/ML Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

Peraton is hiring a Systems Engineer to join our Cyber Mission business unit in Jessup, MD. As a Systems Engineer on our team, you will support one of the largest enterprise-wide engineering contracts within the Intelligence Community. This is a full-time position requiring 1880 hours of support per year; and work is performed at a customer location. As a Systems Engineer on our team, you will work to help create an AI/ML assisted requirements generation instance. This will involve customizing access and interfaces with a Large Language Model (LLM) tailored for the customer and related requirement types and users.

 

Specifically you will: 1) Produce, maintain, and manage all requirement related materials needed to train an LLM; 2) Advise on the relevant requirements processes, policies, relationships, formats, types, and syntax; 3) Maintain an extensive repository of requirements reference documents, standards, and templates; 4) Coordinate with any partner organizations or services regarding requirements improvements; 5) Assist in training LLM with requirements creation, selection, and editing best practices content; 6) Create, update, and maintain relevant online materials, including training and informational; 7) Assist in documenting, updating and maintaining AI/ML requirements instructions and directions; 8) Support customer requests regarding configuration identification, change/control management, status accounting, unique requirements identification, and configuration audits; and 9) Assist the customer with measuring their own success against their desired outcomes.

Qualifications

Individual Capabilities/Experience Required:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline and at least 10 years of systems engineering experience. A Master’s or PhD Degree may be substituted for two years of experience. Note: a High School Diploma or GED plus 14 years of systems engineering experience would also be acceptable.
• Position requires TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.

Target Salary Range

$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
