The Opportunity:  

As the Business Enablement BMO Source 2 Pay Operations Leader, you will spearhead the strategic development and execution of comprehensive processes that guide our Enterprise Technology and Information Security professionals through the Source 2 Pay and Independence processes, from sourcing request to vendor payment and financial reporting.  Your leadership will be instrumental in creating and maintaining a contract management and reporting database that provides transparency of process and payment status as well as supports an ongoing renewal process. You will serve as a key liaison between Procurement, Independence, Supplier Risk Assurance, VEMO, Finance and the Functions (ET/IS), ensuring a streamlined approach to how we procure products and services with a client service mindset.  Additionally, your partnership with ET/IS Functional Business Office Leaders will bolster the annual planning and monthly forecasting efforts, communicating the  impact of purchases against our budgets and forecasts.  You will also lead the Software Asset Management team, supporting all three towers of technology (CT/IS/ET), driving cost efficiencies and compliance efforts around our license usage and developing a strategic partnership with the VEMO team to actualize future value creation.

Key Responsibilities:

Source 2 Pay Support:

  • Lead the development and implementation of end-to-end Source 2 Pay Operations Support strategies and processes, including compliance with all related EY processes and procedures to support our Business Enablement personnel’s successful procurement journey
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including Procurement, Independence, Supplier Risk Assurance, VEMO, and Finance, to ensure a unified approach to the procurement of goods and services in accordance with EY policies
  • Champion process improvement and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of the Source 2 Pay lifecycle to promote transparency and ease of understanding for our BE professionals
  • Leading change management efforts as needed for new customers of the BMO S2P Ops processes to smoothly transition to new processes and systems, minimizing disruption and ensuring buy-in from all affected parties.
  • Guarantee the integrity and accuracy of our contract and SOW data across the functions supported by the BE BMO
  • Collaborate with the BE BMO Functional Business Offices on the planning and forecasting activities related to the procurement of products, assets, and services, coaligning with fiscal year objectives and strategic goals.

Software Asset Management (SAM):

  • Lead the SAM team in delivering specialized services to the functions supported by the BE BMO (currently ET, CT, and Infosec) product owners/budget owners and Procurement to optimize software contract costs, value, and risk management.
  • Establish and implement standard processes and governance models overseeing operational licensing activities, including administering license portals, driving re-harvesting activities, conducting user surveys, and overseeing cost recovery processes.
  • Build and govern common processes to proactively identify software licensing optimization opportunities, cost savings, compliance gaps, and risks across functions supported by the BE BMO
  • Manage overall vendor audit support by evaluating contractual risk, gathering evidence, developing defense strategies, and aligning with the Global Contract Office (GCO), SCS, and stakeholders.
  • Partner with the VEMO and the Functional Business Office leaders to design and implement strategic cross-functional programs aimed at enhancing license profiles, entitlements, value creation, and cost reduction opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced college degree in related operations or finance fields (Finance, Business Administration, etc.) or comparable job experience
  • Demonstrated experience in management and oversight of financial management, operations strategic planning and organizational effectiveness
  • Demonstrated interpersonal, negotiation and presentation skills with the ability to lead groups and programs.
  • Prior leadership experience navigating complex organizations
  • Experience developing teams in the technology field, with minimum 5 years experience in operations/financial management or related role
  • Ability to operate effectively in a global multi-cultural environment and drive harmonization and standardization
  • Pushes the organization to continuously improve and challenge complacency
  • Extensive experience owning, developing and managing large scale budgets and P&Ls across various global groups or business functions
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate narratives to support Business Management Office strategies and story lines to executive leaders and key partners across the organization
  • Demonstrated management of teams through functional and organizational transformations in a fast- paced environment, including maximizing team skills and productivity, and applying coaching for talent development

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a Professional Services Firm is highly desirable.
