Location: Hybrid – with homeworking but in London office up to 4 days per month 
Salary: £40,000-50,000 per year

The role: 
Reporting to the Head of Data and Reporting, the BI Developer will work with others in the Data team and the wider business to support the delivery of business intelligence across Corndel. This is your opportunity to work with a team that is driving transformational change through data. 

As BI Developer, you will 
  • Manage the timely production of month-end and BAU reports. 
  • Monitor the Power Bi service and resolve issues. 
  • Develop new reports, primarily in PowerBi, and maintain/enhance existing reports. 
  • Maintain and develop documentation for our reports. 
  • Manage user access to reports in the Power Bi service. 
  • Monitor adhoc queries and requests to identify requirements for new reports. 
  • Work with stakeholders to develop report requirements. 
  • Identify data quality issues and work with the team and other stakeholders to correct them.  
  • Keep up to date with Power Bi development releases and assess potential opportunities and impact on our reports. 
  • Promote the use of PowerBI within the company, including providing training to new staff and supporting the role out of new reports. 
  • Support with the management of the Reporting Support helpdesk, including answering queries relevant to the role.

Experience and Skills: 
 Essential: 
  • Solutions focused. 
  • Able to work independently but also a team player. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including sharing technical information in plain language. 
  • Logical thinking and problem-solving skills. 
  • Excellent numerical skills. 
  • Attention to detail. 
  • Experience of working with Power BI (desktop/service)  
  • Competent in Excel, including working with formulas and pivot tables. 
  • Proficient in writing SQL queries. 
 
Desirable: 
  • Experience of working in an area relevant to apprenticeships would be an advantage, but is not essential.
