The Impact you will have in this role:

This role will be in Observability Department on the Splunk Eng & Delivery team. The Observability team maintains the firm’s Monitoring, and Observability tools and this position is primarily for working on the role of a scrum master, project manager and product owner.

Your Primary Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the execution of an individual project or multiple smaller projects
  • Lead cross-functional team to meet the success criteria for the project.
  • Be a project leader for reviews, meetings, questions, and updates.
  • Actively manage and compete against overall project delivery plans, which includes schedule, milestones, critical path, and delivery expectations
  • Communicate information between project team and collaborators to ensure alignment.
  • Form relationships and influence key collaborators and managers / team leads.
  • Build a communications strategy and execution plan for the project.
  • Clearly track, report, and communicate regular project status (including scope, schedule, and budget) to project collaborators, management, and established governance groups.
  • Coordinate and facilitate partner meetings and manage related follow ups.
  • Create, track, report and monitor project metrics.
  • Identify, document, and manage project issues and risks; Mitigate, resolve, or escalate appropriately when support is needed from management.
  • Proactively identify, understand, and address intra-project and inter-project dependencies.
  • Create baseline project estimates when the project is handed off to the execution team.
  • Track all projects against approved budgets and report on actuals, forecasts, and variances. Develop action to bring projects on or under budget unless a variance is approved.
  • Identify and secure resources required to execute the plan and monitor resource utilization by continuously analyzing staffing requirements and resource allocations.
  • Coordinate and update all project documentation; ensure reviews and signoff/approvals.
  • Manage project site and artifacts.
  • Negotiate time, scope, resources with project sponsors and functional managers to ensure timely Deliverable of each project.
  • Follow all PMO processes to ensure compliance.
  • Identify and communicate process improvements, better practices and lessons learned from projects.
  • Aligns risk and control processes into day-to-day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; escalates appropriately.
  • Work closely with business partners to understand needs, define cross-functional plans, achievements, project scope, governance models, develop roadmaps, etc.
  • Successfully plan and track execution while maintaining engagement of collaborators, this entails resolving issues in a timely manner.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred with master’s or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of five (5) years in a project management/scrum master role; able to demonstrate using project management standard processes to successfully deliver business initiatives that achieve the desired outcomes.
Talents Needed for Success:
  • Product Owner experience is a plus.
  • Conversant with Jira for managing agile methodologies.
  • Experience in financial services industry preferred.
  • Plan and facilitate agile ceremonies (e.g., release planning, stand ups)
  • Coach, influence, and empower the team for high-performance; ensure that the team is fully functional and productive - equally challenge and defend the squad.
  • Clear obstacles and remove impediments that are preventing the squad from completing work.
  • Shield/Protect the team from outside interferences, interruptions, and distractions; Serve as the conduit between the squad and external requests.
  • Enact and enforce agile values, practices, and rules; be the biggest change agents in the organization.
  • Help the team to maintain their Scrum tools (JIRA backlogs, etc.).
  • Knowledge of HP PPM is a plus.
  • PMP certification highly desirable

The salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations.
