Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Data and Business Analyst to lead data-driven initiatives and drive strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in data analytics, business processes, and visualization tools to uncover insights, solve complex business challenges, and deliver impactful BI solutions. This position is hybrid, working onsite 3 days per week from Tuesdays through Thursdays.
Responsibilities:
1. Advanced Data Analysis and Visualization:
Extract, analyze, and interpret complex datasets to identify trends and deliver actionable insights.
Maintain dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI, Qlik, and other analytics platforms.
Present data visualizations that effectively communicate key insights and trends to stakeholders.
Collaborate with leadership to understand strategic objectives and align data analytics initiatives accordingly.
2. Business Analysis and Strategy:
Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and define key performance indicators (KPIs).
Analyze business processes and recommend improvements to optimize operational performance.
Identify deficiencies in business/data processes, data quality, usability or accuracy.
Perform impact analysis and “what if” assessments for systems enhancements.
Document all systems-related processes and flows.
Translate business requirements into technical specifications for data solutions.
3. Project Management:
Utilize Jira/Aha to manage tasks, track project progress, and prioritize deliverables.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of data projects.
Lead data-focused workshops, meetings, and presentations to drive alignment across teams.
4. Data Governance and Quality Assurance:
Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across systems.
Develop and enforce data governance policies and best practices.
Designing processes and proactively addressing data quality issues and improving reporting reliability.
Coordinates and conducts User Acceptance Testing.
5. Continuous Improvement and Innovation:
Stay at the forefront of industry trends, technologies, and advancements in data analytics.
Propose and implement innovative solutions, methodologies, and tools to enhance the organization's data capabilities.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Data science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in data and business analysis.
Expertise in Power BI and Qlik for data visualization and reporting.
Extensive expertise in Excel and other data analysis tools for processing and analyzing large datasets.
Familiarity with JIRA and AHA for workflow and project management.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to present data-driven insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and integrity.
Familiarity with cloud data platforms (e.g., Salesforce, AWS and SAP).
Knowledge of Agile or Scrum methodologies.

A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this position is CAD $75,000 - $95,000. There are several factors taken into consideration in determining base salary, including but not limited to: job-related qualifications, skills, education and experience, as well as job location and the value of other elements of an employee’s total compensation package.
