The Director, Data and Analytics will manage a team of architects, engineers and analysts to develop and institute a data & analytics strategy and execution roadmap. This role involves developing positive relationships across the organization. These relationships will foster the planning, prioritization and execution of strategic projects utilizing enterprise data assets in the delivery of business value. In this role, the Director will establish, lead and operate Marvin’s D&A function; developing talent and a mature D&A culture; building trust and managing data; and evolving technology capabilities.
Highlights of your role
- Define data and analytics vision, strategy and corresponding roadmap. Lead the creation (and assure the ongoing relevance) of the organization’s data and analytics strategy in collaboration with the VP IT Transformation & Operations.
- Institute an enterprise operating model for data and analytics to execute the strategy.
- Develop, hire, train, and retain talent in the delivery of business value through analytics.
- Develop strong business and IT stakeholder relationships to support the building and execution of Marvin’s data and analytic roadmap
- Establish and maintain trust in data assets by instituting governance mechanisms for data and algorithms used for analysis, analytical applications and automated decision making.
- Champion and mentor the development of self-service analytic capabilities.
- Evangelize analytics and the art of the possible at Marvin.
- Lead data-driven innovation for the enterprise, including investigation, adoption and use of artificial intelligence.

Salary Range
$158,000-175,000You're a good fit if you have (or if you can)
- Strong technology and Business Acumen
- Proficiency in the design and implementation of modern data architectures and concepts such as cloud services, data fabric, data mesh, data virtualization, data lake, real-time data distribution and modern data warehouse tools.
- Intimate knowledge and experience leading teams in the development of modern data platforms delivering advanced analytics
- At least five years of relevant experience in design and implementation of data models for enterprise data warehouse initiatives
- Experience delivering data engineering technology using modern/agile software development practices
- Ability to evaluate, develop, and build talent to meet business and technology demands
- Ability to translate strategic objectives/roadmaps into tactical execution plans/projects delivered iteratively
Also want to make sure you have
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience)
- At least five years of relevant experience in design and implementation of strategies and roadmaps for enterprise data & analytics initiatives
- 5+ years’ experience leading or managing analytics team
- Strong knowledge of advanced analytic methodologies including data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence to deliver high impact results
- Strong background in leading the development of modern data platforms (i.e., Hadoop, Snowflake, etc.)
- Working Knowledge of database technologies and architecture including Oracle, SQL/NoSQL platforms, analytic and visualization applications such as Qlik, PowerBI, Tableau etc.
