ROLE OVERVIEW: 

We are seeking a talented and motivated Mid-Level Visualizer with expertise in Power BI and SQL to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and building impactful data visualizations, transforming raw data into actionable insights, and supporting business decision-making through interactive dashboards and reports.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to provide meaningful insights for stakeholders.
• Utilize SQL to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from various databases to support reporting needs.
• Collaborate with business users to gather requirements, understand business goals, and translate them into intuitive data visualizations.
• Optimize Power BI datasets and performance to ensure efficient data handling and visualization rendering.
• Implement and adhere to data visualization best practices to ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency across reports.
• Conduct data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data models, reports, and dashboards.
• Document processes, data models, and reporting standards to ensure maintainability and scalability.
• Stay updated with the latest features and advancements in Power BI and SQL to continuously improve deliverables.

KEY SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proficiency in Power BI: Strong experience in creating advanced dashboards, visualizations, and custom measures using DAX.
• Strong SQL skills: Ability to write, optimize, and debug complex queries for data extraction and manipulation.
• Experience in working with relational databases and understanding database schemas.
• Solid understanding of data modeling concepts, including relationships, hierarchies, and calculated columns/measures.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
• Attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality visualizations.
• Effective communication skills to present findings and explain visualizations to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience with other visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, QlikView).
• Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
• Exposure to Agile development methodologies and tools like JIRA or Confluence.
