Clinical Data Scientist (m/f/d)
You are responsible for:
Analyzing, interpreting, and (automate) labeling large amounts of clinical data (structured and unstructured data, physician notes, nurse notes) and presenting findings in a clear and consistent manner to your team members
Researching and applying machine learning and deep learning on hospital data to develop machine learning and natural language processing (NLP) models for clinical use cases helping with treating the patients of our customers
Evaluating the results of the machine learning and natural language processing models.
Understanding the functional requirements of our customers, taking part in developing new prediction applications end-to-end, and documenting your accomplishments
Developing solutions based upon best practices shared in the team, methodologies, and state of the art algorithms
Your Profile:
Essential
You hold a master's degree in biomedical engineering, (medical) computer science, bioinformatics, statistical data analysis, data science, or equivalent discipline
You had a first experience in programming, ideally in developing machine learning and natural language processing applications
You have conceptual knowledge of the software development lifecycle (e.g. unit testing, optimization, scalability, continuous integration, debugging, and documentation)
You are a problem solver with an analytical mind
You are eager to learn and curious about the latest trends and developments in data science and the healthcare industry
You have good communication skills and you can translate complex ideas, concepts, and reports into clear presentations
You are fluent in English, knowledge of Dutch (for Belgium) or Spanish (for Malaga) is an asset
You are familiar with analyzing, processing and visualizing data, and with some of the following technologies or techniques: Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Jupyter Notebook, Natural language processing using BERT, SpaCy, Hugging Face, Linux
Preferred
A strong medical background is an asset
Knowledge of French or German is appreciated
Some of the following technologies or techniques: Scrum, SQL, Jira, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS

The minimum salary for this position is 44.500€ gross per year (38.5 working hours) according to the IT-collective agreement, an overpayment plus bonus arrangement depending on qualification/experience is self-evident for us.
