Position Title:  Performance Tester

Job Summary: Performance Test Analyst handles performance test development functions. These functions include:

• Performance test approach definition
• Performance test analysis and design
• Performance test development and maintenance
• Test data sheets preparation
• Performance test execution.
• Documentation of test results and artifacts

Role Exposure

• Defines performance test approach for specific application;
• Defines performance test entry and exit criteria;
• Identifies and prioritizes performance test cases;
• Develops and maintains test scripts;
• Prepares test data sheets required for performance test execution;
• Analyzes performance test results and provide recommendations on approach and performance test scripts.
• Liaises with project team members to ensure overall project delivery success.
• Contributes to continuous improvement initiatives;
• Contributes to definition and improvement of Testing Policies and Strategies to be applied in all Testing delivery;
• Applies innovative methods, processes and tools to enable cost-effective Defect Prevention activities;
• Documents test results and collates test artifacts;
• Reports test incidents and/or defects in accordance to agreed severity and priority;
• Executes re-test of performance test to validate performance defect fixes

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in test design, performance diagnostics, performance architecture design, performance tuning, performance monitoring, capacity planning, and software development for mobile and web applications.
• Hands on extensive experience with a min of 3 years in J-Meter and or Selenium test scripting and execution for the protocols like Http/Http SOAP/XML, Oracle Apps, Java.
• Experienced in creating performance engineering strategies, assessing and defining Non Functional Requirements (NFRs), Designing Workload Model by analyzing production statistics.
• Strong JMeter and or Selenium expertise and can write custom code which will allow code reusability to avoid duplication using an efficient performance testing framework.
• Development skills in Java/J2EE frameworks preferred.
• Must have experience with performance diagnostics, performance architecture design, performance tuning, performance monitoring, capacity planning, and/or software development in a n-tier environment.
• Strong leadership, co-ordination, communication, analytical and reporting skills.
• Should have experience on Mobile and/or Web App perf testing, DevOps, Agile, Micro services, Angular JS.
• Ability to identify performance bottlenecks & able to suggest optimization engineering solutions to development teams.
• Good knowledge in the APM tools like Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Oracle OEM, along with clustering, high availability and monitoring.
• Excellent knowledge in scripting languages like java script, PERL, Python, UNIX shell.
• Knowledge about release orchestration and tools like Xebia labs, Electric cloud etc. preferred but not required.
