insitro is seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Finance Systems Manager to join our team reporting to the Director of Procurement. This role is pivotal in driving strategic digital transformation by building and optimizing an integrated Accounting, Finance, Inventory Management and Procurement reporting systems infrastructure delivering sustainable competitive advantages in Life Sciences. You will lead initiatives bridging business strategy, various technologies, enabling data-driven decisions and impactful organizational outcomes.

Your key responsibilities will include:
- Systems Infrastructure & Automation
- Drive Oracle Cloud Fusion to ensure optimal finance-systems interconnectivity and automation focused on:
- Management and execution of our Oracle managed service provider
- Lead triage for all technical fixes and maintenance support through lens of root-cause analysis and resolution documentation
- Partnering and document near and long-range requirements gathering for core Finance and business stakeholders
- Deliver ongoing systems refreshes, test environments, quarterly release innovation reviews and oversee timely implementation
- Lead implementation of Jira for various strategic and tactical use-cases across Accounting, Finance and Procurement (existing software - will partner with IT)
- Implementation of business intelligence software with accompanying reporting and dashboards across Finance and various supported operating units
- Manage end-to-end process of system enhancement projects from gathering and documenting business requirements, partner with managed service providers and internal resources to develop and implement solutions, performing and documenting testing, and following up on any issues
- Design reports and dashboards to address business needs and streamline financial accounting processes and various operations
- Provide technical end user support for lower level production issues, from root cause through resolution, or any other maintenance activities
- Effectively manage high priority tickets (either individually or working with outside vendor) and longer projects, while not impacting the speed of business
- Analyze current processes and systems to make improvement recommendations based on best practices
- Support current and future integrations between Oracle Cloud and other financial and business applications
- Stakeholder Engagement & Project Management
- Deliver key technology thought-leadership cross functionally to deliver leading digital transformation and adoption
- Leverage formal change management methodologies to drive high return on investment enhancements
- Key stakeholder supporting Accounting team with critical SOD and SOX initiatives
- Partner with Finance team on system enhancement projects to optimize and automate current financial accounting and procurement processes (e.g., implementing supplier punch-outs, automate cash reconciliation process)
- Implement a ticketing process to streamline and document approvals on Finance processes
- Supervise finance systems environment maintenance and refresh schedules, as well as test and document applications patches prior to production
- Strategic Vision & Thought-Partner
- Bring strategic vision to collaborate with leadership to formulate and execute insitro's Finance (and related) systems to drive long-term business objectives.
- Serve as thought leader to drive best practices, innovation for business systems performance, integrations and reporting.
- Architect, design and implement holistic and robust financial technology ecosystem leveraging integrations, automation and latest advanced technologies
- Owning and driving a strategic and collaborative digital transforming 5-year roadmap across all in-scope systems with emphasis on continued enhancement and automation of Finance-critical systems.
About You
- 8+ years of progressive experience in a business and financial technologies with a demonstrable track record of strategic impact
- Fast learner with agile mindset capable of delivering needle-moving results across a many concurrent projects
- Visionary systems expert with a passion of integrating strategy, technology and innovation to design and implement transformative technology infrastructure
- Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, IT, Computer Science, Engineering or similar related field
- Oracle ERP functionality expertise required. Experience using Oracle reporting tools (OTBI, SmartView, FRS)
- Knowledge of procure-to-pay, Accounting close and general Accounting/Finance practices
- Proficient in business intelligence and data visualization tools (Tableau preferred)
- Outstanding project management and stakeholder communication skills
- Empathetic approach to technology design, implementation and change management
- Comprehension of SOX and audit practices
Nice to Have
- Life Sciences experience
- Experience with Anaplan, UKG, and Jira or comparable systems and programs
Compensation & Benefits at insitro
Our target starting salary for successful US-based applicants for this role is $165,000 - $185,000. To determine starting pay, we consider multiple job-related factors including a candidate's skills, education and experience, market demand, business needs, and internal parity. We may also adjust this range in the future based on market data.
This role is eligible for participation in our Annual Performance Bonus Plan (based on company targets by role level and annual company performance) and our Equity Incentive Plan, subject to the terms of those plans and associated policies.
