ROLE OVERVIEW: 

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Tester with strong SQL and PySpark expertise to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for testing and validating data processes, ensuring data integrity, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support high-quality data-driven solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and execute test cases to validate data pipelines, transformations, and processes.
• Utilize SQL to query and validate data from multiple sources, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
• Use PySpark to analyze and test large datasets in distributed environments.
• Identify, document, and track defects, ensuring timely resolution with the development team.
• Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to understand data requirements and define testing strategies.
• Validate end-to-end data flows, ensuring data quality, completeness, and correctness.
• Participate in test planning, execution, and reporting to ensure project deliverables meet quality standards.
• Provide detailed test results and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Contribute to the automation of testing processes for data pipelines using SQL and PySpark.

KEY SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong SQL skills: Proficient in writing and optimizing complex queries to validate data across various systems.
• PySpark expertise: Hands-on experience in testing and analyzing data using PySpark in distributed data environments.
• Experience in testing ETL processes, data pipelines, and data integration workflows.
• Familiarity with data validation techniques, data quality checks, and testing methodologies.
• Solid understanding of testing concepts, including functional, integration, and regression testing.
• Experience in working with large datasets and enterprise-level databases.
• Strong analytical skills with an eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Excellent communication skills to articulate testing findings and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience with cloud-based data platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Familiarity with testing tools and frameworks for big data environments.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA or Confluence.
• Basic scripting knowledge (e.g., Python) for test automation.
