Overview
Remote Position (OR/WA Only)
This is a remote position – incumbents, who reside in Oregon or Washington only. There are 1-2 monthly meetings that require work to be performed on-site at an assigned Legacy Health location. All new hires are required to come to a designated Legacy Health office location in Portland, Oregon prior to their start date for a new hire health assessment and to complete new hire paperwork. This position may require initial training and orientation to be site-based, before transitioning to the remote schedule.

As a Pharmacy Business Intelligence Analyst, you will play an essential role in developing analytical reports and data solutions for the pharmacy department. Your work will involve converting raw data into actionable insights, focusing on analytics engineering to support evidence-based decision-making and improve patient outcomes. You will work closely with clinical and administrative stakeholders to understand their data needs and deliver solutions that meet their requirements. You will ensure data quality, reliability, and scalability throughout the data lifecycle. You will respond to requests for complex data extraction and analytics and support the production of data summaries, reports, and dashboards, and interface with internal and external customers. You will exhibit leadership by engaging with and providing mentorship to Legacy’s community of analysts as appropriate. You will maintain subject matter expertise in select aspects of pharmacy data, Electronic Health Record data, and cloud-based data technology.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Math, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Data Science, Statistics, Business Intelligence, Analytics, or a related field required. Graduate degree preferred.
Experience
Minimum four years’ experience to include:
- Data, statistical and quantitative analysis, explanatory and predictive modeling, and fact-based management to drive decision making
- Experience with Business Intelligence (BI) tools, such as Microsoft Power BI or Tableau
- Experience with relational databases, including SAS and/or SQL programming
- Experience with data modeling, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, and data pipelines
- Experience with other programming languages, including Python and/or R
- Experience working with enterprise-scale tools such as Azure, Fabric, Amazon
- Experience working with the Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, PowerApps, Power Automate)
- Experience working in health services research or health care policy
- Experience working with health care data systems, such as claims data or electronic health records
- Comprehensive knowledge of pharmacy processes and business
- Pharmacy Technician or pharmacy systems experience and a proven knowledge of pharmacology and therapeutics preferred
Skills:
- Comprehensive knowledge of healthcare analytical infrastructure, including the Electronic Health Record’s different architectural elements
- Excellent back-end reporting skills including knowledge of at least one BI platform such as Power BI, Tableau or Looker
- Solid knowledge of BI architectures, relational databases and data modeling
- Project management and ability to execute highly complex or specialized projects
- Strong communication skills, including technical and non-technical report writing, and oral presentation to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to translate business requirements into data solutions
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems related to data quality, performance, and scalability

Pay Range
